    • Jio’s Cheapest 4G Data Voucher ₹11 Now Offers 1GB Data (Up 25% Extra)

      alt text

Though it might not be a piece of groundbreaking news, Reliance Jio has added extra 25% data to its cheapest 4G data voucher priced at ₹11. The other vouchers continue to deliver the same benefit.

For the unaware, Reliance Jio has got four 4G data vouchers. They are ₹11, ₹21, ₹51 and ₹101. Their validity remains with that of the existing plan. They do only differ by the amount of 4G data being shipped.

Earlier these 4G data vouchers used to offer voice calling benefits. For example, the ₹11 4G Data Voucher used to offer 75 non-Jio minutes. However, with the removal of IUC charges for off-net calls, the Jio plans don’t require any separate voice packs.

      Jio 4G Data Voucher Explained:

Coming back to the 4G data packs, the smallest ₹11 pack used to offer 800MB data. Now, this voucher is revised to offer 1GB 4G data. There is no change with respect to benefits in other 4G Data voucher packs.

The ₹21 4G data voucher offers unlimited 2GB data, whereas ₹51 4G data pack offers unlimited 6GB data. The largest ₹101 4G Data Voucher offers unlimited 12GB data.

When you read unlimited 12GB data consider it as 12GB 4G data. Post the usage of 12GB 4G data, the speed gets reduced to 80kbps. However, it remains unlimited. With that slow speed, one can’t even browse any webpage. Probably, that would be sufficient to send a WhatsApp message.

      Plans Validity Benefits
      ₹11 Existing Plan Unlimited 1GB
      ₹21 Existing Plan Unlimited 2GB
      ₹51 Existing Plan Unlimited 6GB
      ₹101 Existing Plan Unlimited 12GB

      Undoubtedly, the Cheapest Data Pack:

The ₹11 4G data voucher with 1GB benefit is undoubtedly the cheapest by any telecom network company. For comparison sake, the Vi ₹16 is the cheapest from Vi kitty offering 1GB data with 24 hours validity.

Similarly, Airtel’s ₹48 data pack is the smallest one from Airtel camp that provides 3GB data with 28 days validity. Summing it up, the Reliance Jio’s ₹11 data pack is definitely a valuable data pack in a country like India.

So, what is your opinion on the latest 25% extra data on ₹11 4G Data Voucher? Share your thoughts.

    • Vivo X60 Pro+ Comes with 50MP Quad-Camera (First Flagship Device 2021)

      alt text

The Chinese Vivo Electronics Corp has officially launched its first flagship handset for 2021. The Vivo X60 Pro+ sports a monstrous camera setup, fast Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and the latest OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.

The newly launched Vivo X60 Pro+ is part of Vivo X60 lineup (consisting Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro) that has got raving reviews. Known for producing excellent low-light imaging, the ISOCELL GNI sensor brings Super Night Mode 2.0 that can work at just 0.01 lux.

      Vivo X60 Pro+ Specifications Explained:

      alt text

Regarding specifications, the Vivo X60 Pro+ sports a 6.56-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Claimed to have HDR10+ and brightness up to 1300 bits, the display is still the best at 1080p.

Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and LPDDR5 RAM (8/12GB), the Vivo X60 Pro+ uses an upgraded UFS 3.1 storage (128/256GB ROM). The new Snapdragon 888 chipset is 35% faster and 20% more power-efficient than its previous generation. Similarly, the LPDDR5 RAM has reported 16% higher data transfer rate (up to 6,400Mbsp) than the RAM used in Vivo X50 Pro.

Monstrous Camera Setup with 50MP Samsung GN1 Sensor:

As quoted earlier, the Vivo X60 Pro+ sports a monstrous camera setup. It includes 50MP Samsung GN1 primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture, 48MP Sony IMX598 secondary camera with 114° field-of-view, 32MP 50mm portrait lens with f/2.08 aperture and 2x optical zoom, and the fourth one 8MP periscope camera with OIS, 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.

The company says that the optics do include upgraded gimbal stabilization system, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). The ZEISS logo on the rear suggests a T anti-reflective coating on both sides of each lens. This helps in reduction of reflections in lenses.

For selfie and video call requirements, there’s a 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.45 aperture.

Surprisingly, one can record 8K videos and 4K HDR10+ as well. I guess there should be an exclusive article about the depth of optics presented in Vivo X60 Pro+.

At this price point, it would be better if it packed wireless charging. Leaving it aside, the Vivo X60 Pro+ retail box packs, the handset, charger, cable, USB-c headset, USB-C to 3.5mm adapter and a clear protective case.

So, what is your opinion on the latest Vivo X60 Pro+ smartphone? When can one expect it to hit the Indian market? Share your thoughts.

You might be aware that Oppo Reno series is purely a high-end but affordable flagship handset. Previously, it used Snapdragon 720G chipset and 48MP quad-camera configuration on Oppo Reno4 Pro.

      Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G Specifications:

Regarding specifications of the latest Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G, it sports a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED 3D curved display (2400x1800p, 402ppi) with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz sampling rate. The smartphone has just 7.6mm thickness and weighs 173 grams.

The display comes with HDR10+ certification and supports dual-view video mode.

It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, ARM G77 GPU and up to 8GB RAM. It’s the first handset to be powered by such higher-end 5G ready chipset in the Indian market. Sadly, it limits the internal storage to 128GB and there’s no microSD slot to expand its memory any further.

AI Quad-camera Setup with Live HDR:

The Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G has AI quad-camera setup on the back that includes 64MP f/1.7 primary camera, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 2MP sensors f/2.4 each for macro and mono shots. • Four JioPhone Plans Out of the List (Jio All-in-One Plans in 2021)

      alt text

Here comes the bad news for JioPhone 4G feature phone users. The Reliance Jio has removed 4 Jio recharge plans namely ₹99, ₹153, ₹297 and ₹594. Sadly, these JioPhone plans used to be the popular choice for JioPhone users.

Starting Jan 2021, the 4G VoLTE company provided a big relief by removing the IUC charges. To compensate the IUC charges, the company used to add 500 non-Jio free minutes to call other network providers. Now, calls to all networks are completely free and stay unlimited.

Henceforth, there will be only 4 JioPhone plans namely ₹75, ₹125, ₹155 and ₹185. Termed as Jio All-in-One plans, the above listed plans will work only in JioPhone.

      Jio All-in-One Plans Explained:

The smallest JioPhone plan ₹75 packs unlimited voice calls, 3GB data (0.1GB per day) and 50 SMS with a validity of 28 days. It also includes Jio Apps complimentary subscription.

The next higher plan is ₹125. It provides 0.5GB data per day. In short, the pack provides unlimited calls, 14GB total data, 300 SMS with a validity of 28 days.

The ₹155 JioPhone plan provides daily 1GB data and 100 SMS per day. All the other benefits remain the same. In short, this 155 recharge packs 28GB total data with 28 days validity period.

The higher end JioPhone plan ₹185 ships daily 2GB data that sums up a total of 56GB data. Apart from unlimited voice calls, daily 100 SMS, you get access to Jio Apps.

Plans Validity Daily Data Benefit Total Data Benefit SMS Benefit
      ₹75 28 Days 0.1GB 3GB 50 SMS
      ₹125 28 Days 0.5GB 14GB 300 SMS
      ₹155 28 Days 1GB 28GB 100 SMS/day
      ₹185 28 Days 2GB 56GB 100 SMS/day

      Jio Apps Complimentary Subscription:

All the four Jio All-in-One packs provide Jio Apps complimentary subscription. It includes Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio News, and other Jio Apps.

Though most of the JioPhone handset users use it for voice calling, there are some internet savvy persons who get the best out of it. Personally, I’ve seen many folks using YouTube and WhatsApp messenger on JioPhone. For them, the higher-end data plans serve the best.
