OPPO A53 5G Handset for 15K (Limited to Chinese Territory Only)

The Chinese smartphone maker OPPO Electronics has launched a super affordable 5G handset Oppo A53 in the Chinese market. It is an upgrade of the Oppo A53 4G which was released in August 2020.

With a 90Hz refresh rate and hole-punch display, the OPPO A53 5G can be purchased online at JD.com. Apart from the regular 4/128GB, there’s a 6/128GB variant too.

OPPO A53 5G Specifications:

Regarding specs, the OPPO A53 5G sports a 6.5-inch full HD+ (1080x2400p) display with 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. It sports a refresh rate of 90Hz and the touch sampling rate of 120Hz.

Powered by the latest MediaTek Dimesnity 720 processor and 4/6GB RAM, the OPPO A53 5G has an onboard storage capacity of 128GB.

OPPO A53 5G Triple Camera:

On the optics front, OPPO A53 5G sports a Triple Rear Camera setup including 16MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture, and 2MP portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture.

For selfies and videos, there’s a 16MP selfie camera at the front. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive.

Fuelled by a 4040mAh battery with 10W fast charging support, the OPPO A53 5G claims to provide a 2-day battery life on regular usage. The handset is so sleek and weighs just 175 grams.

The connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port etc. The handset boots Color OS 7 based on Android 10.

OPPO A53 5G Availability:

This super-affordable Oppo A53 5G handset comes in 3 different colours including Lake Green, Secret Night Black, and Streamer Purple. When the smartphone makers are offering budget specifications under 15K pricing, the OPPO has got 5G technology in the same pricing.

As per Chinese JD.com, the Oppo A53 5G handset’s 4GB/128GB variant costs 1299 Yuan. It translates to INR 14,600 in Indian currency. If you are looking for a 6GB RAM variant, then there’s 6GB/128GB model as well.

Probably, this cheap pricing will be limited to only the Chinese market. There’s no information whether this super affordable 5G handset will be launched in India or International market.
