Vivo Y12S, A New Phone at Budget Price (Powered by MediaTek Helio P35)

The Chinese BBK Electronics funded Vivo has launched another budget handset Vivo Y12S in the Indian market. The company has packed super features like dual rear cameras and 5000mAh battery at a low price.
Though a budget handset, the Vivo has got waterdrop-style display notch in Vivo Y12 S. Available in single variant (3/32GB), the Vivo Y12S is priced at ₹9990.
Starting today, the Vivo Y12S will be available for sale across the country both online and offline in 2 different colour variants, namely Phantom Black and Glacier Blue.
Interestingly, the handset is available on all online portals including Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata Cliq, Reliance Digital and other partner sites of Vivo India.
Vivo Y12S Specifications:
Specs-wise, the Vivo Y12S sports a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS display (720x1600p). It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and 3GB RAM. There’s a 32GB internal storage. If you are looking to add extra storage then you can via microSD card.
There’s an AI dual-camera setup at the rear including 13MP f/2.2 primary and 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8MP sensor. It also packs a fingerprint sensor at the side of the handset.
Backup wise, there’s a big 5000mAh battery with standard 10W charging support. It boots FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 10. On the connectivity side, the Vivo Y12S supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, FM radio, and micro-USB port.
Vivo Y12S and its Competitors:
As it is priced under 10K segment, the Vivo Y12S has to face severe competition from the established players like Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9, Poco M2, Realme Narzo 10A, Vivo U10, and Samsung Galaxy M11.
