It is to remind the tech lovers that OnePlus has released OnePlus 9 Series. This is exclusive info on the OnePlus 9 smartphone. Priced at ₹49,999, this is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset.
OnePlus 9 Specifications:
Sporting a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification, the OnePlus 9 too scores an A+ score from DisplayMate. It has a peak brightness support of 1100 nits. There’s a 1080p resolution.
Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, the smartphone comes in two memory configurations – 8/128GB and 12/256GB. Much to its premium nature, the handset is equipped with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The new Cool Play cooling system facilitates a longer gaming experience. This is a good feature that forms the core of the gaming experience. Best of all, there’s a Dolby Atmos support for dual stereo speakers.
Triple-Camera-Setup with 8K Video Shots:
On the optics front, there is a triple-camera setup. It includes a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP monochrome lens. Avoiding a telephoto lens could be a huge disappointment in the standard OnePlus 9 handset.
For selfies and video calling purpose, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 front camera with fixed focus f/2,4. As advertised, the OnePlus 9 packs Hasselblad camera PRO mode. It helps in reproducing the natural colours of the object.
Instead of the DOL-HDR, one gets traditional HDR for the sensor. The handset is capable of shooting 8K video shots at 30 fps but without OIS.
Wireless Charging with a Difference:
To power it, there’s a 4500mAh battery pack with a wired Warp Charge 65T. OnePlus confirms that it can fully charge within 29 minutes. Additionally, the company has provided wireless charging support but with 15W Qi charging. Probably, this feature is region-specific and not global. As per the reports, only North American and European variants do support it.
Being a 5G handset, the OnePlus 9 has got all connectivity support including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB Type-C port for quick charging. Sporting a glossy look with a reinforced polymer frame, the OnePlus 9 comes in 3 colour options – Winter Mist, Arctic Sky and Astral Black.
Pricing for the OnePlus 9 handset varies as per the geographical region. Both the memory options have different pricing in the US, Europe and India. The standard 8/128GB variant costs ₹49,999 ($730/€700). However, the premium 12/256GB model is priced at ₹54,999 ($830/€800).
Though the OnePlus handset is an Amazon exclusive, the OnePlus 9 can be purchased from other retail stores including Reliance Digital, Bajaj Electronics, and many more.
OnePlus 9 is a good handset, however, its pricing seems to be a BIG concern. There’s a criticism that the OnePlus is a Chinese high-quality handset that comes with Apple pricing. In such a case, there are better alternatives in the market.
