Moto Z and Moto Z Play Launched, Will Retail at ₹ 39999 and ₹ 24999

Lenovo India launched its flagship Moto Z line-up of smartphones along with the Moto Mods. Both the smartphones will be available for sale from October 17th midnight on the e-commerce sites Amazon and Flipkart. Moto Z and Moto Z Play handsets will retail at ₹ 39,999 and 24,999 respectively.
The company has acknowledged that India is the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. Factors driving the growth are 4G, new market penetration and friendly schemes by telecom companies. Betting on this demand, Lenovo India has come up by revamping its flagship Moto Z line with the longest battery.
Moto Z Specifications:
Both the Moto Z and Moto Z Play come with a premium unibody design. Moto Z sports a 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and a square shaped fingerprint sensor. And is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB RAM. With 13-mp primary camera and 5-mp front shooter and dual LED flash, one can take decent shots even in low-light conditions. Backed by 2600 mAh fast charging battery, Lenovo India claims 24-hr battery life for the handset.
Moto Z is equipped with 64GB inbuilt space and expandable up to 256GB storage via microSD card. Connectivity wise, Moto Z supports 4G LTE and all the necessary connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and a USB Type-C port.
Moto Z Play Specifications:
On the other hand, the Moto Z Play sports 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage space. On the camera front, the Moto Z Play supports a 16-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Backed by a mammoth 3510mAh non-removable battery, the phone boasts 45 hours of battery life capable of quick charging.
What’s Your Take?
Both the smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and ready for Android Nougat update. The other prominent features include water repellent nano coating and 3.5mm headphone jack. At this high price, Moto Z is definitely not a recommended handset. However, Moto Z Play could be the phone for you as it lasts two entire days.
