BSNL ₹429 Recharge Plan Offers Unlimited Calling & 1GB Daily Data for 90 Days

The state-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) rolled out ₹429 Recharge Plan for its prepaid subscribers. This promotional STV offers both voice and data benefits with a validity of 90 days.
BSNL ₹429 Recharge Plan:
BSNL As per the reports, the BSNL ₹429 Recharge Plan will be available only until October 25, 2017. Both the new and existing BSNL prepaid subscriber can recharge this limited period offer till October 25, 2017.
The BSNL ₹429 recharge plan offers unlimited voice calls and daily 1GB data for a period of 90 days. There is no restriction on voice calling as it offers unlimited calls to any network across India. However, it is sad to note that BSNL’s data is still 3G/2G when its competitors are boasting 4G/3G.
BSNL ₹429 Vs Reliance Jio ₹399 Plan:
If one compares the BSNL ₹429 recharge with that of Reliance Jio’s ₹399 Plan, it has some pros and cons. The Reliance Jio ₹399 plan unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMS and daily 1GB/day of 4G data for 84 days. However, it requires a 4G supported handset.

On contrary, the BSNL ₹429 recharge plan is a promotional STV that offers the same benefits with 90 days validity. The 4G deployment is still in the initial phase and thus the Public Sector Unit is facing a tough time with the Jio launch.
Apart from this ₹429 recharge, the state-owned telecom company has also launched a ₹249 plan. Under this plan, one can enjoy unlimited BSNL to BSNL calls and daily 1GB data with a validity of 28 days. This is definitely the best plan from BSNL in terms of data. However, the major drawback as mentioned earlier is its lack of 4G infrastructure.
BSNL ₹249 Vs Reliance Jio ₹149 Plan:
In the prepaid segment, a telecom subscriber will definitely compare BSNL ₹249 with that of Reliance Jio’s ₹149 plan. In case of BSNL, you get daily 1GB of 3G/2G data and unlimited voice calls in its network. On the other hand, Reliance Jio 149 offers unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS and 2GB of 4G data with the same 28 days validity period.
To counter Reliance JioPhone, the BSNL is in talks with domestic mobile handset makers mainly Micromax and Lava. The Public Sector telecom company will launch feature phone around ₹2000 bundled with attractive tariff plans.
