Infinix Smart 5 Unveiled for Indian Market (with Helio G25 SoC)
-
Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer Infinix has released another entry-level handset for the Indian market. Infinix Smart 5 is a different handset and should not be confused with the global variant.
To the unaware, the Infinix Smart 5 which was released in August 2020 is different version but got the same title for the Indian market. If the tech reports are to be believed, this budget handset is a rebranded version of Hot 10 Play.
Infinix Smart 5 Specifications:
Specifications wise, the new Indian Infinix Smart 5 smartphone sports a 6.82-inch HD+ display with 90.66& screen-to-body ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 440 nits peak brightness. With textured design on the back, the handset is somewhat easy to handle in spite of its big display.
Powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, Mali G52 GPU and 2GB RAM, the Infinix Smart 5 provides a 32GB inbuilt storage. It can be further expandable up to 256GB using microSD card.
On the optics front, the Infinix Smart 5 sports an AI dual camera setup at the rear including 13MP primary camera and a secondary unspecified low-light sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8MP sensor with LED flash. The AI logo and LED flash are placed inside a cut.
Mammoth 6000mAh Battery:
Though an entry-level handset, it supports both fingerprint reader and face unlock. Powered by a mammoth 6000mAh battery, the company boasts that the Infinix Smart 5 handset will deliver a standby time of up to 50 days. This is definitely a good USP for a 6.82-inch display.
On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Moreover, it boots XOS 7 UI based on Android 10 (Go Edition) and charges over micro-USB.
Priced at ₹8999 ($123), this Infinix Smart 5 smartphone will be available in four colour variants including Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Purple and Obsidian Black. However, as a launch offer, the handset can be purchased with a 20% discount starting February 18th.
As a result, one can grab it at ₹7199 ($98) on Flipkart portal.
