BBK Electronics funded Vivo has launched a new smartphone Vivo Y31 in the Indian market. This 2021 version packs 48MP triple camera and 5000mAh battery.
Incidentally, the same Chinese smartphone maker has got Vivo Y31 handset in its product lineup. It was a 4.7-inch screen back in 2015. Now, the latest Vivo Y31 sports a 6.58-inch Halo FullView Display with FHD+ (2408×1080) resolution and waterdrop-style display notch on the top.
Vivo Y31 Specifications:
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset and 6GB RAM, the new Vivo Y31 houses 128GB inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
AI Triple Camera with Multiple Shooting Modes:
On the optics side, the Vivo Y31 sports a triple-camera-setup configuration including 48MP primary camera f/1.79 aperture, 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The company says that one can take macro shots as close as 4cm. This camera setup looks similar to Vivo X50 handset.
For selfies and video calling purpose, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Vivo is known for camera capabilities, the handset features Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Super Night Mode that uses the multi-frame noise reduction algorithm to reduce the noise in low-light photography.
Vivo Y31 with Vivo Standard Charger:
Backed by a 5000mAh battery and 18W charging (supports reverse charging as well), there’s a USB-C port for quick charging. The company says that handset can recharge up to 70% in just 64 minutes. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that unlocks within 0.3 seconds.
The Vivo Y31 boots the latest FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 11. Available in Racing Black and Ocean Blue colour variants, the new Vivo Y31 handset is priced ₹16,490 ($225/€185).
Starting today, the handset is listed for sale on all the online platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and Vivo India e-store. Apart from the portals, one can find it on partner retail stores across India. There’s a launch offer with cashback up to ₹1000 on transaction via HDFC Bank cards.
What’s Your Opinion?
The handset sports similar specs from Vivo Y51A minus ultra-wide lens. Just adding and deleting some specs doesn’t solve the purpose. Guess, these days Vivo is running out of ideas.
