I’ve been getting countless queries on what’s the best phone under 12K budget? Generally, one can find many resources on best phones under 10K or best phones under 15K budget. However, there is no clear info on the best deals under 12K budget.
Poco M2 Pro at ₹11,699 Only:
Let’s concentrate our topic on Poco M2 Pro. And go through its pros and cons and the price and whether to purchase it or not.
If you remember, the first sale of Poco M2 Pro commenced on 14th July and the handset was priced ₹13,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant.
However, as per the Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale, the Flipkart has offered a flat ₹1000 discount on Poco M2 Pro. That means it would retail at ₹12,999.
Luckily, you can get further discount on this mid-range Poco M2 Pro handset. B purchasing it through SBI Debit or Credit card, you get an instant 10% discount. That translates to ₹1300!
Finally, you’ll end up paying an effective price of ₹11,699 for Poco M2 Pro 4GB variant.
Do you think of it as a good deal? Let’s dig further.
Poco M2 Pro Specifications:
Poco M2 Pro sports a large cinematic 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, 395 ppi density and Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top.
Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset (like the Redmi Note 9 Pro) and 4/6 GB RAM, the handset has up to 128GB internal space. With 2+1 microSD card slot, you can expand the internal storage space up to 512GB
Performance-wise, this Snapdragon 720G chipset is a decent performer (and better than G90T) for regular activities including video editing, light games etc.
Poco M2 Pro Specifications:
On the camera front, it has AI quad-camera setup on the back including 48mp wide lens from Samsung, 8mp ultra-wide lens, 5mp macro shooter and 2mp depth sensor. One can shoot 4K videos at 30fps. For selfie enthusiasts, you get 16mp in-display selfie camera.
Both specs and real photos are comparatively good enough at this price range.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging, the Poco M2 Pro stands for you for more than a day easily. Regarding OS, as it’s a Poco launcher phone, you don’t need to worry about the Ads that you usually encounter with MIUI in Redmi Note 9 Pro.
What’s Your Opinion?
There might be some issues with the phone regarding small lag in touch responsiveness (or call it a display bleeding issue). That’s the same issue being noted with Note 9 Pro as well.
Regarding banned security Apps like Clean Master, Poco has promised to send a new update or you can even uninstall them with a simple click.
Apart from branding difference and colour variation, you’ll not find major technical differences with Redmi Note 9 Pro or Max handsets.
Overall, this is a good package at ₹11,699 when you are purchasing the handset with SBI cards during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale.
