In a bid to gather more market share, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced permanent price cuts on four Poco handsets. As per the Twitter announcement, the price cut varies from ₹1500 to ₹4000.
The Poco handsets that received official price cut are Poco M2, Poco M2 Pro, Poco C3 and Poco X3. The price cut is not uniform and varies depending on the model and the storage options.
As per the press release, the Poco C3 handset received a price cut of 2500 and will retail at ₹8499. Similarly, the Poco M2 6GB+128GB variant price is reduced by 4K and the new price is ₹10,999.
The most popular Poco M2 Pro also received a massive discount of 4K and the 6GB+64GB model will now cost ₹13,999. The latest release Poco X3 6/128GB variant also received a discount of 3K and will now retail at ₹17,999.
Poco New Pricing:
The following table clearly shows the difference in pricing and one can
Smartphone Memory Old Price New Price Poco C3 4/64GB ₹10,999 ₹8499 Poco M2 6/64GB ₹12999 ₹9999 6/128GB 14999 10999 Poco M2 Pro 4/64GB ₹16999 ₹12999 6/64GB ₹17999 ₹13999 6/128GB ₹19999 ₹15999 Poco X3 6/128GB ₹20999 ₹17999 Of all the listed handsets, Poco X3 has got extremely positive reviews and some branding it as an all-round performer in its pricing segment. The 3K discount makes the deal sweeter.
By looking at the portfolio of Poco smartphones, one can easily say that almost 50% of the handsets are more affordable now. Some might even argue that these handsets were cheaper during Amazon and Flipkart sale. However, it is to be noted that those discounts were taken after bank offers.
Moreover, it is to be noted that the POCO, Redmi, and Mi are all the brands under Xiaomi. Some plus and some minus (aka rebranding) seem to be a regular practice with Xiaomi. Leaving it aside, the poco handsets are online exclusive.
