-
It’s official. OnePlus is no more a flagship brand. The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has added mid-range and budget handsets in the Nord lineup.
OnePlus Nord which used to represent flagship devices now launched affordable smartphones in this Nord series. The two new devices are OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100.
Though both the handsets are meant for international markets (including US and Europe), nothing is said about the Indian launch.
On specs side, the OnePlus N10 5G is a mid-range handset whereas the OnePlus Nord N100 is a budget-entry. Let’s now go with the premium handset and study its specifications.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G Specifications:
The OnePlus N10 5G sports a 6.49-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate display. Perhaps, this is the first time OnePlus is using IPS LCD panel since the OnePlus 2 in 2015.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the back, you get pretty responsive fingerprint sensor as well.
As expected the OnePlus N10 5G is powered by Snapdragon 690 SoC (in similar lines with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 756G chipset) and Adreno 619L GPU. Paired with 6GB/8GB RAM, it packs a 128GB inbuilt storage that can be further expandable.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G Camera Specs:
On the optics front, the OnePlus N10 5G packs a 64MP main camera, 8MP 119˚ ultra-wide sensor, 5MP depth sensor and 2MP macro camera lens. It can record 4K videos at 30fps and slow-mo videos at 120fps.
There is a single 16MP front camera for selfies. Clearly, it’s a downgrade from the 32MP. Moreover, there’s no ultra-wide-lens too.
Fueled by a modest 4300mAh battery, it’s equipped with Warp Charge 30T. For the name namesake, it’s a 5G handset without revealing much about mmWave connectivity. The rest of the connectivity options including 3.5mm headphone jack support remain.
It boots OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10 straight out-of-the-box.
Regarding availability, this mid-range OnePlus N10 5G handset will cost £330 (6GB RAM variant) and £380 (8GB RAM variant).
Don’t know how the OnePlus would be justifying the asking price of £330 when its competitors are offering better specs (including 90Hz screen) at more affordable price tag.
If this is the condition of OnePlus N10 5G, could you imagine what OnePlus Nord N100 is in terms of value for money!
