Guess, their systems are following some red tapism!
Anyway, that’s excellent news on the personal front…even if it is for ₹1.
BSNL Prepaid ₹439 Promotional Plan Offers Free Voice Calling for 3 Months
The state-owned telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited announced a promotional plan to offer free voice calling for 3 months at ₹439. This offer is exclusive to prepaid subscribers across the country. The public sector undertaking company is leaving no stone unturned to retain its subscriber base amid rising competitive intensity fuelled by tariff wars.
BSNL ₹439 Prepaid Plan:
Under the new promotional plan, the BSNL prepaid subscribers will get free voice calling for a period of 90 days by paying a one-time amount of ₹439. The free voice calling is applicable to all networks across the country but has a fair usage policy attached to it. With this, the subscribers can only make 30 minutes call per day to other networks. There is no limitation with respect to voice calling on BSNL network.
The government-owned telecom operator has also launched ₹149 plan where the prepaid users can make free voice calling that has a validity of a month. As said, the users can only make a 30-min call to other networks under Fair Usage Policy. Both the promotional plans are effective from today on PAN India basis.
Free Voice Calling But with Limitations:
And it is offered through all BSNL retail distributors and the company’s customer service centres located across India. However, the plan is limited to only new and port-in customers through Mobile Number Portability. This could bring a sense of dissatisfaction from the existing customers of BSNL.
Addressing the launch of a promotional offer, Mr Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman & MD, BSNL, said: “BSNL has always been a front runner in providing better and economical services to all their customers and this is one of the many such endeavours. Customers are coming forward to get our service which has helped our company to increase our market share by 1% since March 2015 even in these hyper-competitive telecom services market.”
An Answer to Jio’s Pricing?
Since the entry of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm’s disruptive pricing, the telecom companies are witnessing a slowdown in their revenues. Hope BSNL can make some revenue and stay in the business with these customer-centric plans.
