If you are searching for the best data-only plans under ₹500, then this resource could be a handy guide. Here’s a quick synopsis of the best data plans India 2021 that offer calling, data and SMS benefits.

Though there used to be a number of telecom operators, now the scenario has changed. There are only 4 operators and out of the one being the state-sponsored BSNL. After amalgamations, only three private entities (Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea) remained in the sector.

Data being the new oil, the telecom companies started offering data at a reduced rate. This led to the demand for OTT platforms and data-users are preferring streaming benefits.

With WhatsApp and other IM’s in the handset, many customers are preferring unlimited data-plans and showing a negative interest towards unlimited voice calling.

Following the customers’ need, the telecom companies are also formulating data-plans or hybrid plans that can cater to all sections of the society.

If you are a prime user of streaming services like Amazon Prime, Netflix or Disney+ Hotstar VIP or Zee Premium, then your search for the best unlimited data-only plans will end here.

    Airtel ₹401 Prepaid Plan:

Though Jio started offering data-centric plans, Airtel took it to a new level by offering streaming benefits. The Bharti Airtel’s ₹401 prepaid plan offers 30GB data with a validity of 28 days. Apart from 30GB data, the recharge pack offers annual VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar.

Sadly, Airtel’s ₹401 prepaid plan doesn’t offer any voice calling benefits.

    Jio ₹499 Prepaid Plan:

The Reliance Jio ₹499 prepaid plan packs daily 1.5GB data with a validity of 56 days. Thus, it packs 84GB of data in total. It offers 1-year VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar (worth ₹399) in addition to a complimentary subscription to Jio Apps. On a similar note, the Jio pack doesn’t offer any calling or SMS benefit.

    Vi ₹355 Prepaid Plan:

The Vi ₹355 prepaid plan packs 50GB data with a validity of 28 days. Moreover, it packs access to ZEE5 Premium for a period of 1 year.

    BSNL STV ₹429 Prepaid Plan:

The state-run telecom BSNL has got STV ₹429 prepaid plan that offers unlimited free voice calling, daily 1GB data and 100 free SMS/day. Along with this combo benefit, the BSNL prepaid pack offers EROS NOW Entertainment services. The validity of this STV ₹429 pack is 81 days. Thus it packs 81GB data in total.

By comparing the data benefits of Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL, it is clear that Jio ₹499 Prepaid Plan offers better value.
