    Telecom Combats Stiff Competition:

Keeping an eye on Reliance Jio, the incumbent telecom player will extend the special offer for all its postpaid subscribers. As per the proposed offer, Bharti Airtel will introduce data booster pack of ₹150 to provide 1GB of 4G data per day same as that of the prepaid offering.

In similar lines of its prepaid offer, Bharti Airtel has got two splits in the usage of data. 500MB data to be used in day hours and the other 500MB in night hours i.e between 12 AM to 6 AM which may lead to dissatisfaction among the data users.

Bharti Airtel will continue to offer unlimited local and STD calls across India to impress the customers. This is undoubtedly an attempt to retain its existing subscriber base. All the incumbent telecom operators including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India, and Idea Cellular are feeling immense pleasure with the launch of Reliance Jio Prime Membership plan.

Reliance Jio’s Aggressiveness Shakes Up Telecom Industry:

One has to admit that Indian telecom sector has witnessed a dramatic change with the entry of Reliance Jio. The mobile data services are now very much affordable. Gone are the days when the subscriber used to pay ₹250 per 1 GB of 3G data. It seems TRAI is working towards easy access to Wi-Fi by proposing 2 paise per MB. This would roughly translate to ₹20 per GB.
