The South Korean multinational electronics company LG Electronics has unveiled two handsets LG Wing and LG Velvet in India. It’s to be noted that they do support 5G and 4G connectivity respectively.
Though the smartphones were made official in 14th September itself, LG Electronics took more than a month for its Indian launch.
Starting November 9th, The LG Wing 5G smartphone costs Rs. 69990 and comes in two colors – Illusion Sky and Aurora Grey. On the other hand, the LG Velvet comes in Aurora Silver and New Black and can be grabbed from 30th October at Rs. 36990.
LG Wing Specifications:
The LG Wing 5G sports a 6.8-inch P-OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The main screen is integrated with the fingerprint sensor. However, the secondary display is 3.9-inch G-OLED with FHD+ resolution.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 both on top and back, it has water repellant coating too and is thus IP54 splash proof.
One can easily perform multi-tasking using primary and secondary screen. For example, watching movies or videos on the main display and adjusting the playback settings on secondary display.
It’s to be noted down that LG has got Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC and 8GB RAM. The smartphone offers 128GB storage and can be further expandable using microSD card.
The camera specs include triple-camera-system with OIS assisted 64MP primary camera, 13MP ultra-wide-lens, and 12MP gimbal camera with 120-degree FOV. It is also equipped with 32MP pop-up camera for selfie shots.
Fueled by 4000mAh battery, 15W fast charging and 9W wireless charging, the LG Wing 5G boots Android 10 operating system. Furthermore, it gets IP54 rating with no 3.5mm jack support.
LG Velvet Specifications:
The LG Velvet is a 4G handset with Snapdragon 845 chipset. Making it tough, the new LG Velvet has got IP68 dust and water resistant rating.
Sporting 6.8-inch P-OLED display with water-drop notch, the LG Velvet has got 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It can be further expandable up to 1TB using a cheap external card.
On the optics side, there’s a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, it has got 16MP selfie camera.
With a modest 4300mAh battery and 15W fast charging support (9W wireless charging), the LG Velvet supports all other necessary connectivity options including USB Type-C, dual 4G VoLTE, and 3.5mm audio jack.
There’s a dual-screen variant for LG Velvet and it costs Rs. 49990. Both the handsets can be purchased on online and offline stores across India.
As there’s no 5G infrastructure in India, the LG has not released LG Velvet 5G variant in the Indian market.
