Poco, the sub-brand owned by Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi, has launched a new handset Poco X3 Pro in the global market. Though the company boasts X3 Pro as brand new, the handset shares many similarities with that of Poco X3.
Incidentally, Poco X3 Pro becomes the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset. As said earlier, it shares many specs and features with that of Poco X3.
Along with Poco X3 Pro, the company has launched a new flagship Poco F3. In fact, this is again a rebranded version of Redmi K40 5G built on Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Poco X3 Pro Specificatiions:
Let us stick our discussion to Poco X3 Pro exclusively.
The Poco X3 Pro sports a 6.67-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla 6 protection on top. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset and Adreno 640 GPU, the Poco X3 Pro comes in 2 memory variants 6/128GB and 8/256GB. Previously, the Poco X3 handset is based on 7nm Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
On the optics front, the Poco X3 Pro features a quad-camera setup on the rear. The configuration includes 48MP primary lens f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree FoV, and two 2MP sensors for macro and depth shots.
There’s a 20MP front camera meant for selfie-shots and video calling. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader for security.
Backed by a robust 5160mAh battery and 33W fast charging adapter, the latest Poco handset is equipped with LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus. It has multiple layers of graphite to counter the heat produced.
The other notable features of Poco X3 Pro include 4GLTE, VoLTE, Stereo speakers, USB-C port and VoWi-Fi. Sadly, it lacks 5G support. Built on MIUI 12, this carries the Poco interface built on Android 11.
Poco X3 Pro - Value for Money:
Pricing wise, the handset carries a tag of €249 (approx. ₹21,600) for 6/128GB variant and €299 (approx. ₹25,900) for 8/256GB variant. As a promotional offer, the base variant will be available at just €199 (approx. ₹17,250).
Considering the incredible value of the Snapdragon 860 chipset, the Poco X3 Pro is a good buy. This is to be noted that this early bird price is till April 1. Clad in Phantom Black, Frost Blue and Metal Bronze colour options, the Poco X3 Pro is definitely a good buy.
Moreover, the company has even announced that there would be screen replacement for free of charge within 6 months.
As the Indian pricing is not revealed yet, Poco lovers need to wait until they get the official information. Though the camera seems to be degraded (from 64MP to 48MP), one can surely bet on its performance due to the Snapdragon 8 series.
