The South Korean electronics giant Samsung that has the habit of reducing the smartphone’s price after the launch announced a fresh price cut on Samsung Galaxy A31. With the new announcement, Samsung Galaxy A31 will now retail at ₹17,999.
To the unaware, Samsung Galaxy A31 was announced in March 2020 and released it to the market in June with a price tag of ₹21,999. However, it received a price cut of 2K and the new MRP was ₹19,999. Now, it got further reduced to ₹17,999.
The new ₹17,999 pricing is seen on all its sales partners across the retail stores and online portals including Amazon India and Samsung store. Clad in 3 colour variants, Samsung Galaxy A31 is available in Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue and Prism Crush White.

Regarding specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A31 sports a 6.4-inch Infinity-U FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 1080x2400 pixels and 412 ppi. Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 chipset and 6GB RAM, the handset has an inbuilt storage of 128GB. One can even expand the storage up to 512GB using a cheaper microSD card.
On the optics front, it sports a quad-camera setup on the rear. The configuration includes 48MP primary camera (F2.0), 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2), 5MP depth sensor (F2.4) and a 5MP macro shooter (F2.4). For selfie lovers and video calling, there’s a 20MP selfie camera on the front. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Backed by a big 5000mAh battery and 15W fast charging, the Samsung Galaxy A31 provides a decent battery backup booting Android v10.0 operating system. Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G VoLTE (nano+nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port.
Undoubtedly, the Samsung Galaxy A31 is a good handset but at its current price have to face severe competition from Poco X3, Realme 7 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that offer better specs.
