Dongguan-based Chinese tech company Vivo has launched Vivo Y30 Standard Edition smartphone for its home market. Though it resembles the Indian variant Vivo Y30, the Standard Edition is a unique one with a few twists.
Vivo Y30 Standard Edition Specifications:
The overall body design looks familiar but the camera setup of the Vivo Y30 Standard Edition smartphone makes it a Chinese edition. It sports a 6.51-inch HD+ (720x1600p) IPS LCD screen with 89% screen-to-body ratio.
Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 6GB RAM, the Vivo Y30 Standard Edition smartphone has an inbuilt 128GB storage. Space can be further expandable up to 256GB using an external microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y30 Standard Edition sports a dual-camera setup at the rear. This includes 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The parent Oppo Y30 model 2MP macro camera instead. There’s an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture at the front for selfie snapshots and video calls.
The handset supports Face Unlock. The super-responsive fingerprint scanner is an extra addition. It boots Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10.5.
Connectivity-wise, the Chinese version of Vivo Y30 sports a dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB OTG, Bluetooth 5.0, USP port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is equipped with a gravity sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and a virtual gyro sensor.
What’s Your Opinion on Vivo Y30 Standard Edition?
Backed by a huge 5000mAh battery and 10W fast-charging support, the Vivo Y30 Standard Edition can easily last for 2 days and more. The sleek design combined with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space makes it a decent buy.
The single variant 6/128GB of Vivo Y30 Standard Edition costs CNY 1398 that roughly translates to ₹15,700 in the Indian currency. Clad in Clouds and Water Blue and Aurora colour options, one can grab the handset through Vivo Chinese online store.
One can even purchase 1-year broken screen treasure at 129 yuan, 1-yr extension at 129 yuan and half-year extension at 69 yuan during the online purchase. There’s an EMI facility as well.
Don’t know when the company would bring this Vivo Y30 Standard Edition smartphone to the international markets. Though it borrows many similarities, the Indian variant can’t be ruled out.
