Moto G 5G Unveiled - The Most Affordable 5G Handset at 300 Euros
-
The Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility today launched Moto G 5G handset. The new Moto G 5G phone is unarguable the most affordable 5G handset released in the European market.
Though there is a little improvement in 5G ecosystem, the handset makers are concentrating all their resources in developing next-gen experience through 5G smartphones. The latest being Moto G 5G from Motorola.
Moto G 5G Specifications:
The Moto G 5G smartphone sports a 6.7-inch Max Vision HDR10 IPS LCD panel with 1080x2040 pixels and 393ppi density. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset, 4/6GB RAM and Adreno 619 GPU, the Moto G 5G houses 64GB/128GB internal space along with a microSD card support.
Accordingly, the Moto G 5G comes in 2 variants – 4/64GB and 6/128GB. Both the variants get Universal Flash Storage expansion facility up to 1TB using a microSD card. The only limitation is a hybrid card slot.
Least Powerful but 5G Capable:
It’s to be noted that the Snapdragon 750SoC is the least powerful 5G chipset from Qualcomm. Probably, that might have influenced the Motorola to include it in developing the affordable 5G handset.
On the optics side, there’s a 48MP triple rear-camera setup. It includes 48MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro snapper. One can shoot 4K videos at 30fps rate.
For selfie enthusiasts, there’s a 16MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture.
Fueled by 5,000mAh battery and TurboPower 20W fast charging support, the Moto G 5G comes with USB Type-C and headphone jack support. Though it’s not a flagship kind of handset, Motorola has got IP52 splash-proof certification.
Moto G 5G Availability:
The Moto G 5G handset boots Android 10 with My UX on top. Clad in Frosted Silver and Volcanic Grey colour, the 5G smartphone reportedly uses Nippon Electric Glass (instead of Corning Gorilla Glass) on the top.
Though there is no official confirmation from the Moto team, the retail price for the 4/64GB variant is under 300 Euros. Currently, this 5G handset is limited to Latin American, Middle East and Asian markets.
If the Indian launch is inevitable, it could be priced 25K and 30K respectively.
At this price, the Moto G 5G could face severe competition from OnePlus Nord 5G, Vivo IQOO 3 5G, and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G.
