BSNL Broadband Packs Disney+ Hotstar Premium (with ₹999 & ₹1499 Plan)

The state-run telecom operator BSNL is known for its wide coverage. However, many of its subscribers are not aware of the bundled plans that the company offers.

It is a known fact that BSNL is offering broadband solution under a new brand name - Bharat Fiber. It employs the same technology being used by private telecom operators such as Airtel Xstream and JioFiber.

BSNL known for its remote coverage is trying its best to provide high-speed broadband plans at affordable price. Starting at ₹449, one can enjoy BSNL Bharat Fiber services.

Neither Amazon Prime Nor Netflix Benefit:

Unlike JioFiber or Airtel Xstream, the BSNL doesn’t have any partnership with Amazon Prime or Netflix to provide their OTT content. However, many subscribers are even unaware that BSNL Bharat Fiber offers Disney+ Hotstar premium content at no extra charge.

This is definitely a premium OTT plan when compared to the Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. No other telecom operator provides Disney+ Hotstar premium pack for free. Even the popular Jio and Airtel do provide a Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription-only that costs ₹399 a year.

Disney+ Hotstar Premium Pack of ₹1499 for FREE!

In reality, the Disney+ Hotstar premium subscription costs ₹1499 a year. The main difference between the VIP and Premium subscription is the delivery of the content in English. The VIP pack delivers the OTT content in regional language whereas the premium pack delivers the OTT content in English.

As a result, one can enjoy English movies, Disney+ Hotstar Originals and IPL live-action in English. If you want to subscribe to Disney+ Hotstar premium, then it costs ₹1499 a year or ₹299 per month. Thus, the Disney+ Hotstar premium is way ahead in terms of value.

BSNL Bharat Fiber Plans:

Unfortunately, many BSNL broadband users are not aware of this OTT offering. Competing with the private players, BSNL has categorized them into 5 plans offering a peak speed of up to 300 Mbps. They include ₹449 (Fibre Basic), ₹599 (Fibre Basic Plus), ₹799 (Fibre Value), ₹999 (Fibre Premium) and ₹1,499 (Fibre Ultra).

The BSNL Bharat Fiber ₹449, ₹599, and ₹799 do not offer Disney+ Hotstar OTT benefit. The Disney+ Hotstar premium subscription is bundled with ₹999 and ₹1499 packs. To the unaware, the ₹999 BSNL Bharat Fiber plan and ₹1499 pack offers 200 Mbps speeds and 300 Mbps speeds respectively up to 3.3TB every month.

Post the FUP limit, speed is throttled to 2Mbps. As an add-on, the BSNL offers truly unlimited voice calling benefit across India. If we compare the Fiber plans that are under ₹799, then it is clear that none is providing OTT benefit.

BSNL Doesn’t Give Up!

However, the higher-end plans are bundled with Amazon Prime. In comparison, the BSNL Bharat Fiber’s bundled pack with Disney+ Hotstar premium is a decent value addition.
