28 Xiaomi Handsets to get MIUI 12.5 Update (First China, then Global)

    In a big development, the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has announced that 28 handsets will now get the latest MIUI 12.5 update. Though it looks like a minor update, the new MIUI 12.5 is a big upgrade in system dynamics making it smoother and more stable.

    As per the announcement, the MIUI 12.5 beta adds 4 new features including smart shearpad privacy protection, file sandbox mechanism, web browsing privacy protection and location information privacy protection.

    What’s New with MIUI 12.5 ~ MIUI Plus & Improved Privacy:

    The company boasts that it protects user data security with the world’s most stringent privacy standards even surpassing Apple’s iOS. Apart from privacy, the new MIUI 12.5 update will bring efficient memory management and MIUI Plus.

    The newly incorporated MIUI Plus provides seamless connection between mobile and PC product where one can easily transfer files and data synchronization. This helps Android and Windows to blend ecologically.

    It has been declared that the new MIUI 12.5 update weighing around 3GB will first arrive on Chinese handsets. Then, this update will be rolled out to global units.
