Reliance Industries Asks Staff to Switch from Airtel, Vodafone, Idea to Jio

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has asked its staff to switch to its own high-speed 4G telecom arm, Reliance Jio. As of now, the corporate connections are with Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea.

RIL with over 40,000 employees has explained its employees the process of Mobile Number Portability. As per the company’s HR, once the required documents are submitted, the MNP process would take around 7 days to complete the formalities.

Even though the commercial launch of Reliance Jio has been speculated from the months, Jio has been grabbing the market with its 90-day Unlimited Preview Offer. As of now, Reliance Jio has more than 1.5 million users under its large scale test phase.

By asking its own staff, Reliance will be able to get a good number of users testing its vast range of services. The general public is very happy with the services of Reliance Jio as it has been offering unlimited data, unlimited HD voice calls, and unlimited SMS for a period of 90 days. However, it has been facing a severe problem of call drops with respect to the necessary interconnect points.
