Guess, their systems are following some red tapism!
Anyway, that’s excellent news on the personal front…even if it is for ₹1.
BSNL to Add 50 New WiFi Hotspot Locations in Hyderabad City
The state-run telecom company BSNL will add 50 new Wi-Fi hotspot locations in and around Hyderabad city. When the whole nation is craving for 4G connectivity, BSNL has got only 3G to cater its services across the country. Taking it as a challenge, BSNL is trying to woo the users by providing public Wi-Fi hotspots in the city.
BSNL Wi-Fi Hotspot:
It is to be noted that BSNL has already set up 40 Wi-Fi hotspot locations in Hyderabad in association with QuadGen Networks Pvt Ltd. BSNL launched the first public Wi-Fi hotspot in South India around Hussainsagar Lake in April 2015. By analysing high usage zones, BSNL will add 50 new Wi-Fi hotspot locations to counter Reliance Jio Infocomm’s free services.
Critical Ingredient for Digital India Campaign:
As per the stats, 3.46 lakh subscribers used BSNL’s Wi-Fi hotspot services in the last 6 months. Of them 1.51 lakh people used these services for the first time and downloaded 62.19 lakh GB of data on their smart devices. However, their data cleared pointed that there was a reduction in data usage after the commercial launch of Reliance Jio 4G services. Incidentally, BSNL is not the only telecom company to be affected by the launch of Reliance Jio.
Hope BSNL brings PAN-India broadband connectivity and realises the PM’s vision of Digital India.
