Gionee P7 Smartphone with 2GB RAM, 4G VoLTE Support Announced at ₹9999

The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Gionee launched the P7 smartphone at ₹9,999. The new phone from Gionee comes in Latte Gold, Grey and White colors and will be available for sale via both online and brick-and-motor shops across India. This budget friendly smartphone sports metal edges and a glass back with a ribbed pattern on it.

Gionee P7 Specifications:

Regarding the specifications, Gionee P7 is a true successor to the P7 Max. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display (720x1280 pixels). Under the hood, it houses 1.3GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Gionee P7 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the company’s own Amigo 3.2 OS on top of it.

As for the optics, it features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie front camera with a screen flash feature to deliver the best in low-light conditions. Backed by 2300mAh battery unit, Gionee P7 claims to deliver 259 hours of standby time and up to 23 hours of talk time. Connectivity wise, Gionee P7 supports dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, FM Radio but lacks much-needed fingerprint scanner.

As disclosed earlier, Gionee P7 lacks fingerprint scanner which is a primary feature in all 10K smartphones. Moreover, the 2300mAh battery is also a big negative sign to compete with the smartphones under the same price range. Every budget smartphone under 10K price range has made it mandatory to offer decent specs. If promoted well, Gionee P7 offline availability can save it to a certain extent.
