The Finnish mobile phone manufacturer HMD Global has come up with a premium handset Nokia X20 with 5G support. Powered by the Snapdragon 480 chipset, this Microsoft-backed Android phone will provide full support for 3 years.
Nokia known for providing stock Android experience has also packed guaranteed OS and security updates for 3 years. Incidentally, the Nokia X20 comes with a 3-year warranty period as well.
Showing its love towards nature, the company has included a protective case that is 100% compostable.
Nokia X20 Specifications:
The Nokia X20 sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with 1080x2400p resolution. It supports a max brightness of up to 450 nits and color gamut coverage up to 82% NTSC.
Sadly, the company didn’t mention anything about refresh rate and strengthened glass. However, it has packed a biodegradable screen protector in the retail box.
Powered by the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset and Adreno 619 GPU, the Nokia X20 is available in 2 memory configurations - 6/128GB and 8/128GB. As it has got a hybrid dual-SIM slot, one can expand the internal storage up to 512GB using a microSD card.
On the optics front, Nokia X20 has got 64MP ZEISS optics on the rear. It also includes 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. The viewfinder can be configured as a split-screen or Picture-in-Picture. For the selfies and video calling, there’s a 32MP front camera with a fixed focus.
Interestingly, HMD Global has also launched another handset by the name Nokia X10. Except for optics, all the remaining specs remain the same. In the case of the Nokia X20, one gets a 48MP primary camera and a demoted 8MP selfie sensor. Everything else remains the same.
For connectivity, this Nokia X20 handset offers dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Backed by a 4470mAh battery and 18W fast-charging, this holds well by providing 2-day battery life.
As already specified, the Nokia X20 boots a clean Android 11 out of the box. Moreover, there’s a Nokia promise of 3 yr security updates.
Priced at €310, this Nokia X20 will be available for sale in India as well. Going by the global price, one can expect it to be priced around ₹30K in the Indian subcontinent.
However, in reality, Nokia needs to price its phones accordingly. Snapdragon 480 chipset is not bad, but there are many better smartphones like Redmi Note 10 Pro or Samsung Galaxy A52.
