Galaxy M31 Prime Edition First Impressions (Just M31 & Amazon Prime)

At last, Samsung has officially made it by unveiling Galaxy M31 Prime Edition in the Indian market. Indeed, most of us are aware that this special edition of Samsung Galaxy M31 is Amazon Exclusive.
The South Korean smartphone manufacturer has tied up with Amazon India to offer Amazon ecosystem apps (both shopping and entertainment stuff) on the Galaxy M31 making it Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition.
Priced at 16,499, the latest Galaxy Prime Edition will be coming in 3 colour options including Ocean Blue, Space Black and Iceberg Blue. As of now, there’s only one 6GB/128GB RAM variant but the Amazon eCommerce portal has mentioned that there would be 64GB variant as well.
Starting 17th October, the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition will be up for sale. However, the Amazon Prime subscribers can order in a day advance.

Regarding the specifications of Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Edition, it sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ SUPER AMOLED display with a mammoth 6000mAh battery and 15W charger.
Powered by Samsung’s most reliable Exynos 9611 processor, it offers 26 hours of battery life.
The quad-camera-setup configuration in the rear includes 64mp primary camera, 8mp ultra-wide camera, 5mp macro lens, and 5mp depth sensor.
For selfie enthusiasts, there’s a 32mp selfie snapper.
Prime Edition as it has Amazon Ecosystem Apps:
The Prime Edition boots One UI 2.1 based on Android 10 operating system. Additionally, it has an “Always On” Amazon shopping app. As it is an Amazon exclusive, one can quickly access Amazon with a right swipe on the home screen.
Moreover, it has all Amazon ecosystem apps (including Amazon Shopping, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Kindle and Audible) under one folder.

Partnerships are okay but that doesn’t lead to unnecessary bloatware. Moreover, there is an N number of Samsung handsets that are powered by Exynos 9611 chipset. It looks as if Samsung is just spamming Exynos 9611 on all their mid-range handsets.
