Samsung Temporarily Suspends Production of Galaxy Note 7

Re: Samsung to Resume Galaxy Note 7 Sales from September 28
Samsung Electronics, the South Korean electronics giant, has suspended production of Galaxy Note 7. The decision to temporary halt the phablet’s production is in cooperation with consumer safety regulators from China, South Korea, and the United States.
Series of Explosions:
Amid a series of media reports showing Galaxy Note 7 replacement units catching fire, Samsung immediately ordered a suspension of production at Samsung plant in Vietnam responsible for global shipments of the smartphone. Reports of Galaxy Note 7s catching fire continue to roll in at least since last week. First, there were 4 explosions in the US alone and more reports getting added in Korea and Taiwan as well.
Meanwhile, all the telecom carriers including T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T in the US have suspended all sales of the new Samsung Galaxy Not 7 and exchanges for replacement Note 7 handsets.
To recap, Samsung started selling Galaxy Note 7 on August 19th but announced a global recall of 2.5 million units last month due to the multiple reports of device catching fire or getting exploded while being charged.
What’s your say?
It’s a bit of an unfortunate situation for Samsung as it can’t save its reputation at this point. Probably, the South Korean company should retrospect as the Samsung brand that’s tarnished more than anything else. The netizen’s thronged of the opinion that Samsung should probably just drop the Galaxy Note 7 device and mark it off as a suspended or retired product. Do you agree with them?
