Vi Hikes Entry-level Family Postpaid Plans (And Adds OTT Benefits)

In a quick revamp, the Vodafone-Idea revised its entry-level postpaid plans. By raising the postpaid tariff, the company has passed the benefit by including OTT subscriptions for free.

As per the press release, the tariff for Vi family postpaid plans is increased by ₹50. The two plans which attracted the price hike carry a monthly rental of ₹598 and ₹749.

In an attempt to minimize the price hike, Vi has added an OTT subscription for free. It includes a Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription and Amazon Prime worth ₹399 and ₹999 respectively. These entertainment benefits will be valid for a period of 1 year.

Revised Vi Family Postpaid Plans:

Hereby, the Vi Family Postpaid ₹598 and ₹749 will now be officially Vi ₹649 and ₹799 monthly rental.

To the unaware, the Vi ₹649 Family Postpaid Plan packs unlimited calls, 80 GB data (50GB for primary and 30GB for secondary connection), and 100 free SMS per billing cycle. These benefits are valid on both primary and add-on connections.

Similarly, the Vi ₹799 Family Postpaid Plan offers 3 connections – 1 primary and 2 secondary connections. In total, this comes with 120GB data (60GB for primary number, and 30GB each for secondary number). Apart from this data benefit, you get unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS per month.

As a complementary offer, one gets to enjoy free access to Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Amazon Prime subscriptions and Amazon Prime for a 1-year duration.

Free Netflix Basic with Vi ₹1349 Plan:

In contrast, the premium Vi ₹1349 Family postpaid plan packs Netflix Basic, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription at no extra cost. Here, the subscribers get to enjoy free lounge access at various national and international airports.

Moreover, all the Family Postpaid plans on the Vi network get a data rollover facility up to 200GB. This benefit is limited to primary connection. The secondary connection will get up to 50GB data rollover.
