Bharti Airtel has tied up with American entertainment company Lionsgate to offer Hollywood’s’ finest collection of films on Airtel Xstream Box.

With this strategic partnership, Bharti Airtel Xstream Box users can now stream premium Hollywood content provided by Lionsgate Play including its Ultra-HD content.

Lions Gate in India as Lionsgate Play:

The Santa Monica-based Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation has got Lionsgate Film division, Home Entertainment, Starz cable network, and many other digital distribution networks under its umbrella.

For the unaware, Lionsgate Play is a premium streaming service from Lionsgate India and Starz. The Lionsgate Play is known for distributing premium Hollywood titles including La La Land, John Wick, How to Build a Girl, Knives Out, Hellboy, Shark Night 3D, Kick-Ass etc.

Since 1997, Lionsgate has produced and/or distributed more than 400 films and 7000 TV episodes. Recently, it also ventured out into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bhojpuri languages.

    Bharti Airtel & Lionsgate Partnership:

There was a joint statement from both Bharti Airtel and the Lionsgate team. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Rohit Jain, MD, Lionsgate South Asia said that the experience of watching premium content on the big screen is unparalleled.

Mr Sunil Taldar, Director – Homes, Bharti Airtel added that the customers will discover the joy of hybrid TV experience and enjoy the best of OTT content with linear TV.

The Airtel Xstream viewers will now be able to stream loads of content in all genres including action, thriller, and more.

Looks like the partnership between Airtel and Lionsgate is a bit delayed. Starting July 8th, JioFiber users have been accessing premium content of Lionsgate Play on Jio TV+.

However, the premium content varies from network to network.
