The smart TV market is a crowded arena. With the entry of Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi, the smart TV market has got a new makeover. The Chinese entity Redmi has launched its first smart TV X series in the Indian market.
One can enjoy the 4K HDR (3840*2160p) experience in 3 different sizes. Titled Redmi Smart TV X 50, X55 and X60, these smart TV X series have similar specifications but differ in the size of the panel. They do come in 50, 55 and 60-inch viewing experience.
Powered by a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor, Mali G52 MP2 and 2GB RAM, the smart TV houses an inbuilt 16GB storage. The Redmi Smart TV X series supports auto low-latency mode (ALLM).
There’s a built-in Chromecast that allows content mirroring. It also has a dedicated button supporting Google Assistant for a hands-free experience.
By default, it has popular apps like Amazon Prime, Netflix and YouTube. On the software front, it is customized enough to sport the PatchWall interface. As the Redmi Smart TV X series boots Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI based on Google’s Android TV 10, one can download their favourite App from the Google Play Store.
Regarding specifications, the Redmi Smart TV X Series support HDR10+ format with Dolby Vision. The refresh rate is capped at 60Hz for the maximum output. The Vivid Picture Engine and reality flow MEMC makes the image smooth and rich in visual experience.
The Dolby Audio support in addition to DTS Virtual: X and Dolby Atmos pass-through over eARC. They sport two 15W speakers making the audio incomparable with any Dolby Atmos experience.
On the connectivity front, it has two USB port, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Redmi Smart TV X Series support dual-band Wi-Fi and the much-needed Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
Starting March 26th, all three models will be up for sale on Amazon India and Mi.com portals. Price-wise, the Redmi Smart TV X50, Redmi Smart TV X55 and Redmi Smart TV X65 will retail at ₹32,999 ($455), ₹38,999 ($537) and ₹57,999 ($800) respectively.
It is to be noted that all three models just vary in size and are common with respect to technical specs.
