OnePlus 8T First Impressions - Will 8T be A New Trend Setter Flagship?
-
No big features. No compromises even. It looks OnePlus has got a perfect balance. The Chinese smartphone maker has upgraded its latest flagship handset OnePlus 8T with the new Warp Charge 65W.
This major change will itself sell OnePlus 8T as it can give a 100% charge in just 37 minutes. A quick 15-min top-up is sufficient enough to pull it through the day. Claimed to be the world’s fastest charging technology, OnePlus 8T will surely get rewarded.
Moreover, it gets a minor bump (from 4300mAh to 4500mAh) in the battery. The sad part is it still doesn’t offer wireless charging support. Leaving it aside, it offers a good USB-C port and charger inside the retail box.
OnePlus 8T Specifications:
Regarding specifications, the new OnePlus 8T sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution. It has 120Hz refresh rate and does support a maximum 1100 nits brightness level.
Powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and 8GB/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, it has upgraded to UFS 3.1 storage with onboard storage options of 128GB/256GB capacities.
OnePlus 8T Quad-Camera Setup with AI Video Camera:
Apart from a brand-new Dark mode, the OnePlus 8T has got many custom features. On the camera front, it has got quad-camera-setup that includes a 16mp ultra-wide sensor supporting 123°.
The other three camera configuration includes 48mp IMX586 primary lens with optical image stabilization support, 5mp macro snapper, and 2mp depth sensor. It has got an AI algorithm support for a video camera that helps in recording portrait mode by blurring the background.
The Video Nightscape mode helps to record videos in extreme low light conditions with additional image stabilization support for videos. Though there is no dedicated zoom camera lens, one can make use of 2x crop digitally.
OnePlus 8T Availability:
Available in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Sliver (matte finish), OnePlus 8T can be grabbed at just ₹43K (8/128GB) and ₹46K (12/256GB) on Amazon India and OnePlus stores.
Though it’s not the best practice to compare OnePlus with Apple, the latest OnePlus 8T has got the best refresh rate, battery and software support.
