Chipset Maker MediaTek Opens Another Centre in Bengaluru

The Taiwanese chipset manufacturer MediaTek announced the opening up of another centre in Bengaluru. In a bid to strengthen its presence in India, MediaTek is looking forward to investing $200 million in the next few years. The company has another facility centre at Noida apart from Bengaluru unit.
Chipset Solution for Consumer Products:
Apart from providing R&D, Sales & Marketing support, the new facility will strengthen MediaTek’s growing business in connectivity and home entertainment devices. Incidentally, the MediaTek company has been providing chipset solutions for wireless communications and consumer products like smartphones, HDTV, set-top boxes, blu-ray, routers, tablets, fitness bands, smart watches, and gaming stations.
The company has also expanded to other key sectors such as 5G, imaging, and automotive. As per the reports, the new facility is meant to meet the needs of the super-mind market.

The Next Generation LTE and IoT:
Addressing the launch of the new facility at Bengaluru, Mr Jeffrey Ju, Co-Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, MediaTek Inc, said: “MediaTek is about making great technology available to everyone. India is a shining example of how connecting billions of people and devices can help enhance how we all live, work or play.”
The MediaTek workforce at the Bengaluru Centre for Excellence has a strong expertise to develop new products and applications in the emerging technologies like LTE and IoT. Recently, the semiconductor company designed a new chipset that enables Voice Assistant Devices and smart speakers, including the Google Assistant.
