    Step 1:

Here, you need to select the brand and model of the smartphone. Say if you want to exchange Redmi Note 3 old phone, just click on it and within no time you will find that the evaluated price of the RN3 is ₹3500.

Just enter the IMEI number of your handset. If you don’t know the IMEI, don’t worry just dial *#06# on your phone. It displays the IMEI number of the handset. Or else, you can even find it on the phone’s original packing.

    Step 2:

By entering the IMEI number, you’ll be provided an exchange coupon. Use this discount code on your new purchase of smartphone on Mi India online store. Unfortunately, this code is not valid on the purchase of any other Mi product except smartphone. Similarly, this can’t be redeemed at Mi Homes store.

To the unaware, one can find the similar exchange program at Mi Homes. This is being operated by Cashify .

    Step 3:

Once the new order is placed for a smartphone, this Mi Exchange discount can be availed during the check out.

    Step 4:

Finally, during the delivery of your new smartphone, the old handset will be collected from your end. That’s it.

Do remember that for qualifying the Mi Exchange program, the old handset should be in good working condition with all screen locks disabled.

    What’s Your Opinion?

The Mi Exchange facility is open to all Indians. However, it is currently limited to Android handset users. Starting from Google Pixel to Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, the exchange discount offer is open to the majority of handset owners. There are over 15 mobile handset companies including Mi, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Motorola, Micromax, Gionee, OPPO, ASUS, Lenovo, OnePlus, Huawei, VIVO, Letv and Google.

Hope Xiaomi considers the iPhone users too for this exchange. Leaving that aside, it’s a win-win situation and sounds awesome from Mi India!
