The customer can choose the recharge price basis usage and volume available in the pack, without having to worry about the platform the customer’s device is logged in.”
He further added, “As Idea’s Pan India Broadband coverage continues to expand and reduces the gap with existing 2G coverage which covers 4 lakh towns & villages, customers can now seamlessly migrate services between technology & platform without worrying about differential costs. Unified Data Recharge – 2G/3G/4G:
With this rollout, Idea Cellular will make a unified pricing for all its product categories including sachets, freedom packs etc. Though this is not a one-time rollout, the company has been making efforts relentlessly to exhilarate its subscribers in a phased manner.
With this new unified data recharge, the Idea subscriber can recharge 2G or 3G pack of 1GB data and can use the same in 2G/3G/4G handset without worrying about the network. However, please do note that this unified data recharge facility is available only on 1GB and above data packs. If you are looking at smaller or chota packs, then you need to browse for regular packs separately.
Hopefully, by the end of this March, Idea Cellular would roll out unified data recharge plans. Moreover, the mega-merger with Vodafone will also materialise by then.
