Apple Unveils iMac 2021 with M1 Chipset (Price Starting at $1299)

The much-awaited “Spring Loaded” Event brought many new surprises. Of them, the Apple iMac 2021 with an M1 silicon chip is another star performer.
To date, Apple’s in-house M1 chipset was limited to MacBook and Mac Mini. Now, the super chipset is wrapped in the new Apple iMac 2021. Apart from making it a very powerful machine, Apple has made it super colorful too.
This new Apple iMac 2021 will be available in seven different colors including Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Purple, Blue, and Silver. Powered by Apple’s in-house ARM-based chipset with eight CPU cores and 7/8 GPU cores, the iMac 2021comes with a lot of upgradable options.
Apple in-house M1 Chipset Joins iMac:
Apple’s M1 chipset delivers 85% faster CPU performance and 50% better GPU performance when compared to its predecessor. The company boasts that one gets to observe 3X faster machine learning.
It sports a 23.5-inch 4.5K Retina Display with 11.3 million pixels supporting 500 nits of max brightness. With about 11.5mm thickness, the new iMac has got anti-reflective coating as well.
On the front, there’s a 1080p FaceTime camera for video calling. It has 6 built-in speakers supporting Dolby Atmos. The mics are placed well so that there’s minimal interference from the rest of the system.
Interestingly, the new Apple iMac has 2 fans instead of a thermal system. On the connectivity front, it supports 2 Thunderbolt ports, 2 USB-C ports, 1Gbps Ethernet port, and WiFi6.
World’s First Wireless Biometric Authentication:
One gets to see the World’s first wireless biometric authentication system in the iMac 2021. The end-to-end encryption with Keyboard makes your fingerprint data more secure. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is really awesome making it a perfect color match.
The basic version of iMac is priced at $1299 (₹ 1, 19,900) and packs 256GB SSD storage with 8GB RAM. The upsell version costs $1499 with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU. There’s an option to get 512GB or 1TB or 2TB storage. The basic version is 256GB with 8GB RAM.
Starting April 30, iMac lovers can start pre-ordering their favorite configuration of the new Apple iMac 2021. With the new M1 chip, Apple makes the iMac a new power machine.
