GTPL Broadband, one of Gujarat’s leading broadband service provider, has got 100 Mbps plan at an effective monthly cost of ₹635. It’s to be noted that GTPL Hathway has got over 4 lakh broadband subscribers in Gujarat since its inception in 2006.

Though the GTPL offers Fiber to Home (FTTH) services all over India, it has captured the Gujarat market by providing seamless fibre optical cables across the state. Apart from Ahmedabad, GTPL is prominent in other cities including Baroda, Surat, and Rajkot.

GTPL Offer Cheaper High-Speed Broadband Plans:

Back to the topic, GTPL 100 Mbps broadband plan comes at an effective monthly rental of ₹635. Undoubtedly, this is one of the cheapest plans across the country.

The 100-Mbps broadband plan for a period of 6 months costs ₹4,999 including GST. By excluding GST, the 6-month plan costs ₹4236 making ₹706 as the effective cost.

For a 9-month period, the same 100-Mbps broadband plan costs ₹6999 including GST. This works out as ₹659 as the effective monthly cost.

By subscribing the annually, GTPL 100-Mbps FTTH plan costs ₹8995 including GST charges. The simple math makes ₹635 as the effective monthly cost. Surely, one of the cheapest plan with the good network coverage.

Other than 100 Mbps broadband plan, GTPL offers multiple plans with different speeds. Starting at 40 Mbps, the service provider offers unlimited plans at an effective monthly rate of ₹377.

Mumbai-based Hathway Broadband Internet is now offering 150 Mbps broadband at ₹800 per month. This is really competitive pricing from the first cable ISP in India.

Though Reliance Industries has got 72% stake in Hathway, the cable TV service operator is still conducting the business independently. Leaving it aside, the Hathway broadband services are used by 2 million subscribers in major Indian cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad etc.

Hathway 150 Mbps Plan:

The new offering of 150 Mbps is launched exclusively in Kolkata city. Currently, the Freedom2_150 is exclusive to Kolkata telecom circle. Under this plan, the subscribers get 150 Mbps home broadband speed with a monthly FUP of 1200GB.

Post the FUP 1200GB, the speed gets throttled to 5Mbps. Shockingly, this is not a direct monthly plan. You need to take the subscription for a minimum of 6 months or 12 months period. If you are paying for 6 months, then it costs ₹4800. Or the 12-months subscription costs ₹9600.

Either way, you end up paying ₹800 per month effectively.

Interestingly, the same 150 Mbps broadband plan costs ₹5394 in Bengaluru (Value Pack) and ₹5400 in Chennai telecom circles (GPON Dual Band 150) respectively. One should compulsorily take a 6-month or 12-month plan to avail this 150Mbps speed.

In Bengaluru and Chennai Telecom circles, the 150Mbps comes up with 1000GB FUP restriction. Whereas the Kolkata subscriber gets another 200GB relaxation. In all these cities, you get a dual-band WIFI router and installation facility for free.

Though Hathway offers cheaper plans in the broadband segment, it is not uniform. In some cities like Bhilai, Chandigarh, and Visakhapatnam, the max speed is just 2Mbps. On the other end, the Chennai area gets the highest speed of 300 Mbps at ₹1400 effectively.

If this is the situation of a broadband company, what will be its reception? Undoubtedly, the cellular operators like BSNL 3G and Jio 4G are way ahead of Hathway. If the cable operator wants to really stay in the business, it has to upgrade the infrastructure.

Hathway, a Mumbai headquartered the first cable ISP in Inda, has come up with another thunder plan in broadband segment. The new Thunder Hathway Broadband plan offers 125Mbps speed internet at just ₹649 per month with no FUP limitation.

Under the new ownership of Reliance Industries Limited, Hathway has been offering blazing speeds at an affordable price. As per the new Thunder Plan, Hathway offers 125Mbps broadband speed without any FUP restrictions. Though the newly launched plan is just limited to Hyderabad, the company expects it to launch in other areas too.

Starting from Hyderabad, the Hathway Broadband Internet has now extended its operations to Aurangabad, Baroda, Bangalore, Bhilai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, Surat and Thane, Visakhapatnam, Vadodara, and Vellore.

Hathway Broadband Plans:

Last week, the Hathway Cable and Datacom Limited (popularly known as Hathway) has launched the cheapest broadband plan where the subscriber can enjoy 25 Mbps speeds at just ₹399 per month with no FUP limitation. This SUPER 25 Mbps broadband plan also has an annual payment option at just ₹4500.

High Speed 300 Mbps Plan?

If rumours are to be believed Hathway is all set to launch high-speed 300Mbps broadband plans across the country. First, the company has already rolled out 300Mbps plan in Chennai, and it plans to make it other metros including Bangalore and Hyderabad. From there, the company plans to extend the launch of high-speed plans in a phased manner.

If one compares Hathway with other broadband internet providers like ACT Fibernet and Spectra then the Hathway is surely far behind in offering 1Gbps speeds. However, the backing of cash-rich Reliance Industries Ltd will surely help Hathway to grab the market in association with Reliance Jio GigaFiber.
